Donald Trump expressed his dismay with media reports that are based on anonymous sources, defaming and offending him. The formula “sources say” without naming them shall be a matter to sue or prosecute. Journalists freedom and duty is to protect sources. But they must base their allegations on some kind of proof, not just on an anonymous source that cannot be verified at all. Journalist must go this extra step when they hear something or, in case it is not true, not verifiable, journalists must face the consequences. Right so, Donald Trump. France 24 reports that Trump said: “They are made up, defamatory fiction, and a big price should be paid for this blatant dishonesty. I’ll do it as a service to our Country. Who knows, maybe we will create some NICE NEW LAW!!!
