The NYT rings the alarm bells. The Selensky travesty is overstreched. The NYT clearly sends the message to its readers. An urgent message. Games are over.
No, it’s not only Trump that said ‘Selensky is the bad guy’ and that Selensky and his regime have nothing to lose and want to provoke a major conflict between the US and Russia, even a nuclear war. Risks are high that the Ukrainian regime (and its backers) provokes Russia to the extreme, or that these Ukrainians and their gangster backers run false flag attacks against NATO.
Donald Trump has understood that the Selensky regime is trying to hijack the US Administration, also with the help of some European actors. Trump needs to withdraw from Ukraine immediately and needs to signal to Russia that he will not support any further Ukrainian action. He would otherwise play with the US and all human existence. The risks and dangers were never higher, never more evident, and Russia was never before as much attacked by Western rogue state actors. It’s not only about NATO eastward expansion, it’s about the Russian nuclear defence and deterrance capabilities.
The recent call between Trump and Putin certainly was helpful to avoid an immediate escalation, the next steps to a deescalation are in Trump’s hand: he needs to give up Ukraine, not to sacrifice the US, and he must make sure that his NATO allies do the same. It’s a second before 12, it’s a second before the end of our civilization. Russia will not and cannot renounce to retaliate, there is no legal or moral ground that would oppose to the strongest retaliation following the attack on the Russian nuclear force. And Trump knows this perfectly, he calls Selensky the ‘bad guy’ and Trump even did not try to suggest to Putin to keep calm or to renounce to a retaliation. This is perfectly also in the interests of the US.
In the words of US Senator Lindsey Graham, still it is a god deal for the US as no US soldiers will die … just Ukraine will suffer a lot (and those countries which are too much involved and so much opposing to US interests).
