President Donald Trump used only two words to warn the World about the high stakes at the upcoming today’s meeting with President Vladimir Putin:”High Stakes!!!”.
It is not only about to settle the war in Ukraine, but it is also about a long lasting security solution for the World, so that never again a conflict between superpowers can emerge, that none of the nuclear superpowers will feel threatened. But also that none of the superpowers can develop strategies to confine and constraint the other, to threaten them, to harm their interests etc.
Trust is needed, but also a strict discipline, rules, a conflict resolution mechanism, the prohibition of unilateral intervention in local disputes (unless voted by the UN) and a system to guarantee an equal security protection. And the elimination of corruption on a worldwide level, such as that leaders of corrupt countries cannot be bought and sold at the pleasure of one superpower.
