President Donald Trump writes in his Truth Social message that his “meeting with President Vladimir Putin of Russia went very well, as did a late night phone call with President Zelenskyy of Ukraine, and various European Leaders, including the highly respected Secretary General of NATO. It was determined by all that the best way to end the horrific war between Russia and Ukraine is to go directly to a Peace Agreement, which would end the war, and not a mere Ceasefire Agreement, which often times do not hold up.”
Donald Trump, immediately after his meeting with Vladimir Putin, called V Selensky, some European leaders and the NATO General Secretary.
In his Truth Social message, Trump reports of the agreement which was found between him and his European allies, and V Selensky: to go directly to a peace agreement re Ukraine and not to try to impose a ceasefire of which Trump writefully says that it “often times does not hold”.
Trump was, therefore, able to change the European strategy which was to demand first an unconditional ceasefire and then to work out a peace settlement agreement for Ukraine.
Russia opposed to this European procedure of ceasefire-first as Russia knows that the ceasfire will be used to rearm Ukraine, to reinforce Ukrainian troops and to even bring NATO troops into Ukraine – which was the concept of the Coalition of the Willing. But this concept, as well as Project Ukraine are dead. There shall be no further NATO expansion, no further war, no further killings, no risk of nuclear escalation.
Trump also understands that a ceasefire will not bring anything and that it could be easily torpedoed by any party, by Russia, Ukraine or any third party with an interest not to have peace. A peace agreement with a solid security structure and confirmed by the UN will cement peace and any breach will be a clear violation of International Law.
As such, Trump agrees that the war continues for the time being and this will be the most important incentive for making a peace agreement in shortest time.
Of course, this puts Selensky and his today’s European backers in an uncomfortable situation as the Ukrainian collapse is near and demands for a rapid peace agreement, probably with far reaching Ukrainian concessions. But this is the result of Selensky’s and the Europeans’ gamble on Ukraine: there will be a territorial surrender and a non-aligned and non-militarised rest-Ukraine, and no NATO membership. At the same time, US and Russia will be the first to re-establish profitable economic relationships, while it is expected that some European leaders still insist stubbornly on sanctions and Russia-bashing. But a peace agreement must abolish sanctions, as sanctions are economic warfare.
The way of Trump seems to be the only realistic and fair outcome to a war that never should have happened, a war that was provoked by the Obama/Biden regime and their European cronies, those who faked and lied about RussiaGate, those whose propaganda made it impossible to settle disputes since 2014, those who defrauded the Minsk and Istanbul agreements and those who armed Ukraine to the teeth, established CIA bases, biolabs and missile launchers in Ukraine. Those who wanted to threaten, to attack, to destabilize or even destroy Russia, a nuclear superpower: idiots driven by irrealist geopolitical ideolgies, ready to sacrifice the population of Ukraine for their perverted goals, ready for a nuclear war in Europe or a WWIII.
Selensky will face Trump in a few days and Selensky will then either accept peace or be “fired” and lose all, including his “retirement off-shore savings”. Game over for Selensky.
