UK and India sign Trade Deal. This will prohibit Sanctions on India buying Russian oil.

It was year of waiting time to finally sign the trade deal with India. UK terribly needed this deal after Brexit. Long waiting allows for great joy.

The UK government expect many billions gains for the UK economy. India will have access to the UK market with cheap products made in India, as well with cheap labor to migrate to the UK.

The UK government needs to be reminded that India has a close relationship with Russia. This relationship has even improved since the outbreak of the conflict in Ukraine. It is nevertheless unthinkable that the UK will impose sanctions on India for buying oil from Russia – the new trade deal will be thrown under the bus.

Eventually India will be helpful and able to change the UK’s mind on Russia – another chance for peace.
