Ukraine’s Parliament extends Martial Law and Selensky’s Power until August – Reuters

It was a news on the sidelines, not much talked about in the mainstream.

V Selensky requested the prolongation of martial law and Parliament confirmed it till August. Of course, there is no reasonable opposition at all, and only 1 vote against.

Selensky keeps the leadership power inherent to the President – since more than a year no elections were called because of the martial law.

The Parliament was purged of opposition, and the ruling party keeps the power to decide.

Well, Russia may continue to disregard Selensky, considering him illegitimate.
