An additional 25% tariff is now imposed on all Indian goods sold to US. This makes in total 50%.
This is not the bone breaking tariff which some expected. India will suffer, for sure. India’s exports to the US are not enormous but India’s poorest will be out of work.
For what? To punish India, a poor country, because it is buying cheap Russian oil.
