US Secretary of State Marco Rubio: “Frankly, it’s a Proxy War between Nuclear Powers – the United States, helping Ukraine, and Russia – and it needs to come to an end”
Marco Rubio, US Secretary of State, made bombshell news. The timing of his statement is well arranged. It is a response to President Macron’s TV statement of the day before when Macron called the French people “to the arms” against Russia. Macron urged his People to continue the war support for Ukraine and called them to be prepared for enormous financial costs to come while he attacked the US. Robio’s statement contradicts Macron directly: Rubio admitted that Ukraine is nothing else than a proxy for the US in this war with Russia. Rubio added that “this proxy war has to stop now”. This means that this proxy war is not of France’s business and that the US has decided to stop it. As a consequence France (and its European partners) shall not continue it. The US has decided to stop it and the European allies need to follow the US’ move. It is not easy to imagine that France or the UK will continue that proxy war on their own, without US protection, without sufficient material, soldiers and without money. Tomorrow’s Brussel summit of European leaders will have to answer if the Europeans really want to wage a proxy war against Russia, without US or NATO at their side and if the Europeans want to play with fire, a fire that not only will burn trillions of Euros but may burn as well uncountable lives in Europe.
