US to resume shipments of weapons for Ukrainian defence – yes, 10 Patriot missiles

The US seemingly has not enough weapons. The over three years of war in Ukraine has emptied the stocks in the US. The conflict with Iran represents a much greater danger and need for weapons. Israel has even not able to defend itself against areal attacks at the end of the 12 days war with Iran. The risk was a massive nuclear escalation.

Same for the weapons stocks of European countries. Deliveries seem impossible without rendering these Europeans vulnerable.

The US took the decision: America first. President Trump understood that there are conflict areas which are more demanding as Ukraine. Ukraine has a very limited interest for Trump or for the US, unless it is about weakening Russia.

But Russia seems still strong, at least militarily. As well, the Russian leadership seemingly resists and the Russian people is to a large majority behind Russia’s military operation in Ukraine.

So, Trump, last week let his Department of Defense declare that they have stopped delivery of arms to Ukraine, in particular, those arms which have been promised by the Biden Administration on 2024. Biden did already empty the US stock after Trump won the elections. Ukraine is living and fighting of those Biden deliveries – Trump did not send new arms, did not promise any new weapons.

Without the Biden arms, Ukraine would have collapsed till now – Biden made the killing longer. Europe has no meaningfully weapons, and Europe’s stocks are empty.

So, Trump made one of his usual PR stunts and called President Putin: saying, hi, I stopped the weapons, now you need to do the ceasfire. Putin seemingly responded njet, knowing that Trump’s call was about his America first need, having not enough arms.

Trump was unhappy about Putin’s reaction and resumed sending weapons to Ukraine: just 10 Patriot missiles as reported and criticized by the news.
