V Selensky’s speech was highly applauded, in contrast to yesterday’s speech of JD Vance, the US Vice-President. Selensky received even standing ovations at the end of his speech. Selensky asked for unity in-between his Western sponsors, the US, the EU and other European and international war supporting countries. He requests mainly security guarantees, if not NATO membership then he demands similar protection, all of which such arrangements will draw Europe and US into a war with Russia. Selensky again says that Ukraine is defending European democracies and demands continued support. Selensky demands that no peace negotiations shall be held without Ukraine and Europe at the table. But Selensky appears stressed and unconcentrated, reading his script with some personal comments. Is it still the same US political PR agency writing Selensky’s scripts? In general, nothing new. Selensky’s demands remain unchanged. Did he understand the new US wishes? Is he trying to unite Europeans against Trump? Selensky says that Russia does not want peace and tells that his intelligence service knows about the build-up of a large Russian army in Belarus ready to march in Summer. While Selensky might be right that Russia today is advancing and the Ukrainian army soon collapsing, he may understand that Russia could seek a quick end and would need to act from different directions against Kiev. Trump’s intention is to find a quick settlement, now, as he knows that with every day waiting, Russia advances further and that there will not be an Ukraine in Summer and costs and damages, as well as Ukrainian people’s suffering and soldiers’ death will increase exponentially. In this scenario, Trump does not want to invest further, and let’s be honest, besides their wonderful declarations, no European country has the money and the will to get involved in the Ukrainian war with Russia. Still for Russia, there is a turning possibility, a way to honorably find an agreement, even after thousands and thousands dead Russia soldiers. Trump know this and wants the agreement fast, before Russia cannot and does not want to turn around. Yes, then the European nations might be rightfully afraid of Russia. It is time for Project Ukraine to surrender, to declare Project Ukraine’s defeat, to get out of it and pay what needs to be paid, before WWIII begins. Those in power need to take into account the suffering of the Ukrainian people resulting from failed Project Ukraine and hold those responsible for it accountable.
