The timing and the structure of the payment is surprising. Seems that the 130 million were paid just before the last EU elections. The payments were made to an agent, HAVAS, a French media company, which then distributed the money to still not publicly known receivers: this is the beauty of this agency scheme as the EU can claim confidentiality protection under the “framework contract” with a private company. And the rest stays private and confidential, in particular, the media companies which received the funds. Hm. But who received my tax money?
