‘We are stepping up,’ UK defence secretary tells ‘coalition of the willing’ for Ukraine – The Guardian

The UK and France continue the building of a Coalition of the Willing. President Macron earlier declared to take the helmet of the operation.

The call to allied countries is about the building of an international force to march into Ukraine to confront the Russian Army. While the same countries, i.e. the UK and France, are arming, guiding and supporting the Ukrainian army in the current active fighting against Russia, the same countries are planning for a long term military presence in Ukraine, ready to strike against Russia at any time. Of course, it shall be declared an international force of defense, together with the Ukrainian army, but there are risks that this international force is very fast implicated in a provokation, either by Russia or by Ukraine, or by any third country or terror group.

The marching of an international army into Ukraine to fight side by side with Ukraine is, therefore, the most dangerous operation thinkable, in particular, as Russia declared them already as targets. A WWIII scenario is then most likely realized with a certain nuclear exchange, probably limited to Europe. No, the US will retire from the European stage.

The Coalition of the Willing effort, as it is also a hinderance to Donald Trump’s peace effort, will most likely also annoy the US.

This strange exercise, reminding the Irak war where another Coalition of the Willing under Bush jr. attacked Irak under false pretext and with horrible consequences, should be stopped in time if peace is the goal.
