Welt: A small local Party in Bavaria can stop Merz’ Mega-Debt-Deal. Will they save Germany’s Democracy?

A small local party, the Freie Waehhler, Free Voters in Bavaria have it in their hands.
The Free Voters are in a local coalition in Bavaria with the CSU, the CDU’s local sister-party.
The Free Voters are conservative, anti-Green and anti-debt. It is their credo, their political conviction.
As a coalition partner of the CSU, they can direct the Bavarian vote in the Federation Council, the Bundesrat.
To change the Constitution, a positive 2/3 vote in the Bundesrat is necessary. The small Free Voters party in Bavaria can stop the Mega-Debt of Merz by not allowing the Bavarian vote.
Will they? Tomorrow is their day.
